Forgot to mention: Using Jaunty 9.04 with 2.6.28-13-generic i686 kernel. Something new: I just tried the System Rescue CD v. 1.2.2 [1] which is based on gentoo linux and use a Linux-2.6.29.6 Kernel. The problem did NOT accur. No message like "softreset failed" and I also could delete my test-folder (explained above). No freeze. So it is not a hardware problem.
