Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-network-manager

Kubuntu Karmic Alpha3

The network manager doesn't work after setting up pppoe connection by
pppoeconf.
Network manager was set to UNMANAGED somehow.

in /etc/network/interfaces

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet manual

it was set to "manual" somehow, under this circumstance, I can't access
to the internet. (originally, it was "dhcp")

After manually changing it back to "dhcp", I can't access to the
internet again. But the network manager is still showing unmanaged
through the plasma-widget-networkmanager.

I think it's the networkmanger's problem.
This issue doesn't exist when I was using Gnome desktop environment with
networkmanager-gnome.

Thank you!!
