Hi Cyrille, I read your post on Ubuntu LaunchPad and I wanted to say that I get the same error (Error 21) when I set my SATA mode to IDE in BIOS. I have 5 drives connected to the ICH8R controller and 2 DVD-ROMs on the JMicron Controller. Additionally, I see a "Cannot write to disk..." message. My solution is to keep the SATA in AHCI mode.
