No idea. It looks like it is related to a combobox and I guess it is the
resolution combobox as you tried to change the resolution (iirc). There
was already an issue with Cheese's way to manage resolutions as the
(weird) 1280x1024 resolution (the webcam manages 640x480=4/3,
800x600=4/3, 1280x1024!=4/3 and 1600x1200=4/3) was displayed by Cheese
as 1280x960 in the combobox although Cheese asked for 800x600 to the
webcam and displayed a black frame despite of the webcam delivering the
requested 800x600 video stream (debug traces reported that). Test with
another viewer allowed us to use the 1280x1024 so that GSPCA is not
delivering the wrong 1280x960 resolution itself to Cheese. This no more
happened with the Cheese version 2.27-3 but there was maybe an issue as
both crashes you get that night was related to the 1280x1024 (going to
that resolution and leaving this resolution). However the driver had an
issue as the selected bandwidth was sometimes wrong so that this may
have lead to an image delivering failure. Maybe this failure beside a
Cheese issue explains the crash.
