The point of my report wasn't the rant but the proposal. I apologize if
this is not the proper forum for such a thing. Please, let me know where
to do it.

Pardon for the repetition but the point is:

"In brief, what I think is needed (critical) is some kind of centralized
effort and dedicated resources from Ubuntu/Canonical to work with
upstream to solve this problems. Centralize compatibility bugs, detailed
problems with example documents, developers working exclusively in this
area, etc.

A project in the line of Hundred Papercuts but focused on Office
Papercuts would be extraordinarily useful, could represent a big change
for a lot of users and lower the switching bar for more."

The fact that it is well known that a problem exists doesn't make it
reasonable. Particularly when the problem is a CRITICAL problem
affecting almost ALL the Ubuntu (and Linux) users and it's affecting the
mainstream adoption of the OS.

I will as a personal level do all I can, but in such an important aspect
I think there should be a centralized effort.
