Looking on Ubuntu forums, a forum member has said this could be intentional. Try System > Preferences > Appearance, then click the Interface tab and select the 'Show icons in menus' option to restore all icons. But surely, this is a regression? I can't see how an update to remove icons from menus is an intentional move forwards to improve Ubuntu?
