Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: golly

Source package: golly 1.4-1

Release: Ubuntu 9.04 (amd64)

Version used:
golly:
  Installed: 1.4-1
  Candidate: 1.4-1
  Version table:
 *** 1.4-1 0
        500 http://mirror.anl.gov jaunty/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What I expected to happen:
When I selected a python script to run (these scripts are supplied with the
golly package; they are not my code) I was expecting them to do something.

What happened instead:
A window with the title "Golly Warning" popped up. The window's contents are:
"Python library does not have this symbol:
Py_InitModule4"

When I click the OK button, the popup window goes away, to be replaced with
another window, also with the title "Golly Warning". This window says:
"Oh dear, the Python library is not loaded!"
Click the OK button makes this window go away.

A whole lot of Python is installed on my machine, but not everything Python.
Is it possible there is a missing dependency?

** Affects: golly (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
