Public bug reported:

I am running Ubuntu on a Dell Inspiron 2650 Laptop. I installed Ubuntu
8.10 and it loaded without any problems. I updated to 9.04. When I did
that I was unable to boot with the new kernel, 2.6.28-13. I kept
booting with 2.6.27-14. Then an updated kernel was released, 2.6.28-14.
I am still unable to boot from the newest kernel. When I select the
newest Kernel in grub I get the following message:

Boot From (HD0, 4) Ext 4 Then a code of some sort
Starting Up ....

Then the system locks up.

I did notice that when I boot from 27-14 it has Ext 3 instead of Ext 4.
Is that a problem? I did all updates through the update manager.
