Public bug reported:

Release Ubuntu 9.04
Desktop MB K7S5A AMD Athlon XP 1800 1GB DDR RAM
Graphics card uses NVidia GEForce 6200 chipset and runs recommended version 180
driver.
Airlink101 PCI 802.11g adapter with Realtek Chipset (not working/configured -
but that may be just me - the hardware does show up with iwconfig).
SATA with Ultra ATA PCI combo card (the problem occurs with or without this
installed)

Under Preferences>Screensaver>PowerMangement I selected to put the
computer to sleep after 1 hour of inactivity.

The computer does shutdown as expected after inactivity.

To bring the computer back to life I need to press the power button on
the front of the case. The computer appears to go through a normal boot
sequence and then gets to an Ubuntu screen where it says something like
"waking up" at the bottom of the screen with an Ubuntu logo displayed.
It does this for a while and then the screen goes blank and nothing I
can think of to do will restore the display. The PC is powered up as CD
drawers will open etc., but I can't be sure what state the OS is in at
this point. Leaving it for an hour or more results in no change - and it
does not resume the sleep mode.

I'd be happy to send any logs etc. if you can tell me what you need and
how to get it. (I am relatively new to Ubuntu but I like what I see so
far).
