I had a slow browsing and frequent disconnect issue. I switched to WP2 only. I then also added this earlier:
alias net-pf-10 ipv6 off alias net-pf-10 off alias ipv6 off #alias net-pf-10 ipv6 in sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/aliases. I changed my MTU to 1452. I added in my ISP's DNS servers in resolv.conf. Here is an interesting bit of information that is not really presented in a technical manner. I notice that the 4 bars that show wireless connectivity only have 3/4 in blue even though I am 15 feet of the dlink router. The only time I really ever have a problem with disconnects or slow browsing is when it shows up as 4/4 blue bars indicating maximum wifi performance. I also changed my ipv6 to off in the firefox about:config options. -- [Jaunty] Intel wireless 3945ABG is unstable and disconnects frequently https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/348204 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
