Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sound-juicer
I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope, and I'm running Sound Juicer 2.26.1. I tried ripping an 8-part audiobook on cd, and all but 1 disc was extracted correctly (though with one of the cd's, it would only read the track information 1/2 the time, but it would only extract when it couldn't find the track info. I chalked it up to a scratchy cd). My main problem came when sound juicer DID read one of the disc's track information correctly, it could play the audio from each track, but when I tried extracting it, it said "Sound Juicer could not extract this CD. Reason: Could not open resource for reading" I made sure that no other process was using the drive, but it always gave me the same error. Eventually I found that another program of mine could rip audio CDs and it worked just fine.
