If you are using a notebook/laptop computer, try turning off the touch
pad. That might help. If that is not the issue then I am not sure.
However if it is moving it up or whatever, causing you to type where you
have already it is not the enter key.

Bug description:
I am not a code puncher. So here goes best I can.

I am running a fully updated Ubuntu 8.10 . I have not updated to 9.04
because if I do my ATI card will not work well. It is a notebook
computer, AMD Turion64.

My keyboard keeps acting up, when typing occasionally a random key will lock up
causing something like the following.
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh or bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb or
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll or xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
No pattern as too which key so I do not believe it to be my keyboard. Pressing
any key on the keyboard cancels this effect.
Secondly the SHIFT key seems to follow the same pattern. The exception it
cannot be canceled except by waiting. It seems to take approximately one
sentence of typing before it cancels, again no pattern seems evident as to what
makes it start or stop. It is definitely not the Caps-lock key however because
on top of "a" becoming "A", "/" becomes "?" etc, as well.

I have attempted to determine a cause or pattern but cannot and decided
it is pissing me off too much. It needed reporting.
