Public bug reported: Using the 2009-08-03 build of Kubuntu Netbook 9.10 beta (live version) the RaLink 2860 wireless adapter could not connect to a 64-bit WEP encrypted AP.
The rt2860sta module loads, and wireless networks which broadcast their SSID can be found, but no connection can be made to AP. This is similar to the posts for the RaLink 2860 drivers not working in Jaunty. Even when trying to configure connection to a hidden SSID it did not even look like it could locate the SSID. After pressing enter when asked for SSID nothing happens. The staging drivers for the 2860 in the newer 2.6.30 kernels are working fine on MSI WIND U100 netbook (currently working fine in jaunty with 2.6.31-020631rc5-generic kernel). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- rt2860sta driver not working on Kubuntu Netbook https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/409197 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
