Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
The latest pulseaudio_0.9.16~test4-0ubuntu4 in karmic is ramping the volume up way too high on my sblive! 5.1. The previous version was perfect, but now it's seems to moving the mixers around illogically and causing the the pcm volume to go straight to 80% even when the pa volume is only at 5%. This is much loud. I don't know why things were changed from the last version, it was working great yesterday, now I can't even listen with my headphones without causing hearing damage.
