@dotancohen: I don't know all the details, but the default page in Firefox is simply a configuration option, not a patch that changes or replaces a significant amount of code. What (I think) the Ubuntu developers want is that the Mozilla/Firefox developers either include this into Firefox and/or provide a standard way to "plug in" different "open with" dialogs.
