Hi,

As our server Ekiga.net do not accept private IP, while your
registration to it works using a private IP, we suspect something in the
path is rewriting packets on the fly at the SIP level protocol (a
router?).

While rewriting, it might add substantial overhead to the packets,
leading to an issue with the MTU limit of UDP packets (I know it sounds
over technical, but I also need this to keep track of issues inside bugs
reports...).

Could you try this to help me find if my hypothesis is correct:
In Ekiga GUI,
go to Edit->Preferences->Audio->Codecs and disable all of them, but PCMA,
go to Edit->Preferences->Video->Codecs and disable all of them, but H261
Now you have only the audio codec PCMA and the video codec H261 enabled.
Call the echo test. If I'm right, it should work this time. Can you confirm?

Best regards,
Yannick
