Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem
Totem closes while attempting to resize or full screen the window; via drag or double-click. However, on occasion it will squash an anamorphic widescreen movie into a 4:3 full screen (everything is tall & thin). Attempts to resize either remain squashed or close Totem altogether. This only happens with actual DVD discs. I've been playing movies I ripped to .avi (xvid & .AC3) without error. I am using Ubuntu 9.04 and am a total noob...working on converting from "Windoze" (advanced with that, so any translative language would be much appreciated). I followed some forum threads about installing codecs and upgrading programs. Please advise...
