Thank you for your report. Could you try the following please. open a terminal and type the following.
sudo cp /etc/network/interfaces /etc/network/interfaces.bak then the following. sudo gedit /etc/network/interfaces scroll down the text till you get to the auto ra0 ..... Delete the two lines with ra0 in then save the file. then reboot your laptop.
