I am using VLC media player 1.0.0 . The settings for the sound equalizer and video effects ,.. etc do not stay after closing the player, so I have to set them every time I play a movie. I am not even sure that the video / audio synchronization is working either, there is no effect on some of the movies in which sound/video are out-of-sync.
