There are updates today so I tried to use Update Manager with sudo. I clicked the "Install Updates" button and then gksu opened and I entered my password. Then the Download Progress window opened and just sat there. My guess is it doesn't have the permission to save the files it is trying to download. I killed all that and relaunched Update Manager using sudo update-manager and was able to update my system just fine. I could really use a solution for this. Synaptic is also effected.
