@mac_v unfortunately not. the thing is: the panel is kind of an exception from other windows, because usually, if a window is on top of another window, we want it to cast its shadow upon the window underneath, but the panel and the active window should be on an equal level, for both are a potential candidate for interaction in that situation. (see mac os x)
