I had a problem with jockey restoring the ath5k driver after de- activating madwifi. ath5k remains blacklisted and I had to edit /etc/modprobe.d/madwifi.conf to restore it manually.
Reason I tried madwifi was connection problems due to bad signal from wireless router. But restoring the defailt ath5k driver left me with no wireless due to being blacklisted.
