Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cupsys
When printing from either Impress or a PDF viewer (evince), printing stops after ~12 pages with an error on the printer. I could only find .deb files for Debian. I spend about 40 minutes on the phone with a Lexmark product specialist and they pointed me to the same file but informed me they couldn't guarantee it would work with Ubuntu 9.04. They say that it is supported in Debian. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/c53x/C53x_troubleshooting.pdf I've checked this printer model and it is not support in Ubuntu 9.04. I am assuming you've got it running using the PPD available for download at the end of this URL: http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-C532dn This used to work fine in Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy. We have tried 3 drivers that do not print large projects (40-60 pages): -Ubuntu automatically proposed driver -Driver from Lexmark website, .deb intended for debian -Driver from openprinting.org, .ppd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 61076 2009-07-07 21:52 C532dn-Debian-Old.ppd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9818 2009-07-07 22:09 C532dn-Open.ppd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 23971 2009-07-12 15:32 Generic-PCL-6-PCL-XL-Printer.ppd -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 61070 2009-07-07 22:48 Lexmark-C532-Debian.ppd cups 1.3.9-17 Attached the following two files for each PPD found: /var/log/cups/access_log /var/log/cups/error_log ** Affects: cupsys (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Lexmark C532dn cannot print large documents https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/414266 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
