Can confirm that the new driver solves the problem. WOL worked fine in 8.10 and before. After update to 9.04 it stopped working. After replacing the driver with r8168 it works fine again.
Can not confirm problem with suspended state (reported by concertedrxn), because I am not using suspend state. Thanks for solution!
