Workaround. running sudo modprobe -r wacom && sudo modprobe wacom
will restart the tablet. These lines (minus the sudo) can be added to /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/75modules to restart the wacom tablet (put them inside the resume_modules() function).
