amarok2 2.1.1 here kde 4.3 kubuntu 9.04 packages Amarok does not open the .spx files for me either. Amarok1 could play .spx files and edit (at least some) of the tags.
>From Amarok2, right mouse clicking on a .spx file in the Files tab, edit track details is unavailable / greyed out. Dragging the .spx file to the playlist, pointer turns to a plus symbol which seems to indicate that the file will be added to the list. Releasing however does not result in the file being added to the playlist. (Append to playlist from the Files tab also does not result in the .spx file being added to the playlist. Selecting the file through Amarok/Play media also does not result in any being added to the playlist.) $ file reports that the content is Ogg data, Speex audio and vlc/mplayer/... have no problem with the file. I ran amarok in debug mode $ amarok --debug then in another terminal attempted to load the file $ amarok -l myspeexfile.spx the following appeared in the debug window: $ amarok: BEGIN: virtual int App::newInstance() amarok: BEGIN: static void App::handleCliArgs() amarok: Drop from external source or file browser amarok: not a track no match amarok: BEGIN: virtual bool SqlPodcastProvider::possiblyContainsTrack(const KUrl&) const amarok: END__: virtual bool SqlPodcastProvider::possiblyContainsTrack(const KUrl&) const - Took 0.00058s amarok: BEGIN: void Playlist::Controller::slotFinishDirectoryLoader(const Meta::TrackList&) amarok: END__: void Playlist::Controller::slotFinishDirectoryLoader(const Meta::TrackList&) - Took 0.00029s -- Can't open .spx speex files in Amarok https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/333454 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
