Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unfs3
Source package: unfs3 Package version: 0.9.22+dfsg-1 Architecture: i386 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-6-generic i386 Distro version: Ubuntu 9.10 Trying to run autoreconf for an autotools project in a directory mounted via unfs3 always hangs in autom4te execution. The exported directory is itself on an encryptfs mount (encrypted home directory configured in Ubuntu installer). The export is mounted on a VirtualBox VM running Karmic netbook remix. The same project will successfully be bootstrapped if autoreconf is run in the exported directory, not the nfs mount. A test project is attached. How to reproduce: 1) Extract attached tarball to a directory on an encryptfs mount (encrypted home directory configured in Ubuntu installer) 2) Export resultant directory via unfs3 3) Mount said export in a VirtualBox VM running Karmic netbook remix 4) Run "autoreconf -v -d -i" Expected results: - Autoreconf completes successfully Actual results: - Autoreconf hangs after this output: aclocal: running autom4te --language Autoconf-without-aclocal-m4 --trace='AC_DEFUN:$f::$n::$1' --trace='AC_DEFUN_ONCE:$f::$n::$1' --trace='AU_DEFUN:$f::$n::$1' --trace='_AM_AUTOCONF_VERSION:$f::$n::$1' configure.ac ** Affects: unfs3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Autoreconf in unfs3 mount hangs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
