There's one copy of the buddy for each account. I never added them to the other accounts.
I was running both accounts because, while the namespace is unified under oscar, there is no way (that I know of) to merge two logins into one. If one of my friends only has my ICQ login, they won't see me logging into my AIM account unless they add that user to their buddy list. I have feisty installed on another partition. Let me see if I can reproduce this.
