Just to run the groundwork, i can confirm the hibernate freeze with a
fresh 9.04 install (no updates) on an empty HD with a T40.

Suspending worked a couple times, but it's been on-again-off-again for
me on this hardware.

I'm off to download Karmic, and try the same test as brunogirin.
