- Seriously guys, a *binary* package full with *po* files? With po files
- also available in language packs?

sense that only binary .mo files should be installed there, if at all. Gettext
programs cannot use the source .po files to load translations.
+ * There is no need for the package to install translations, even if they were
in compiled .mo format, since they are already stripped from the gutenprint
source package, imported into Launchpad
(https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/gutenprint) and
then exported in language packs (as an example, language-pack-de-base installs
these translations in /usr/share/locale-langpack/de/LC_MESSAGES/gutenprint.mo)
