Public bug reported: Kubuntu Karmic with all upgrades installed, the Ubuntu desktop is installed as well.
>From the terminal (either the text terminal at Ctrl-Alt-F1 or from the >graphical "konsole" or "terminal") I run command shutdown 0 As the result the system starts closing, display switches to text mode, for about 10 seconds there are some problems with killing some process. Then the system does not power down; instead a "warm restart" occurs (means no BIOS checking, no GRUB greeting screen) and I get the console of the system which usually can be seen during start of the system in the rescue mode. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [karmic] command "shutdown 0" results only with a warm restart in rescue mode https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/416806 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
