The problem is still there but I found a workaround that was somewhat
difficult to find. Even knowing it's there, I couldn't find it just now
for you. "Browse" cannot find dot folders and that is the most obvious
way of locating it.

No, I didn't delete it as it shows properly when I look at the file
system. However, it was invisible in Thunderbird's Local directory
Server setting.
