Asus EEE 900 - I applied latest updates using Update Manager and was advised that a restart was required. Machine failed to shut down cleanly and I was left with a blank screen. I had to force the machine to shut down by holding the power button and received this error on restarting. I have experienced this error in the past when Update Manager tries to do a restart. Normal manual shut down works fine.
