Binary package hint: postgresql
The latest security version of postgres-8.1-8.1.4-7 causes errors during
some table UPDATES on specific columns.
THIS IS CRITICAL! I have been able to recreate on more than one install
of 6.10.
The bogus error message is something similar to:
ERROR: attribute 13 has wrong type
DETAIL: Table has type character varying, but query expects character varying.
I will work on a simple schema and test case.
Downgrading to 8.1.4-0ubuntu1.3 makes the problem go away.
