I am experiencing this bug as well in Karmic with the linux kernel
2.6.31-9.29 and network-manager
0.8~a~git.20090820t182117.cb60390-0ubuntu2

The wireless network randomly disconnects and will not even try to reconnect to
the same network, but it will try to connect to other wireless networks it
finds.
The only way to make it work again is to reboot the system or do a
suspend-resume cycle.

My wireless chipset is Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG.
