Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: glipper

$ /usr/lib/glipper/glipper
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/glipper/glipper", line 25, in <module>
    import gtk, gnomeapplet, gnome
ImportError: No module named gnomeapplet

$ sudo apt-get install python-gnomeapplet

fixed it. So perhaps a dependency is missing?
