Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
When I have multi-line cells with many lines of text with different lines hand-separated by line breaks, openoffice.org often during editing removes the line breaks. Also, even though openoffice.org seems to support line breaks inside cells, there seems to be no way of inserting them except by copy-pasting from someplace else. Then, perhaps another bug or maybe not, when these cells start with a dash, even though the cells are being used for text and were previously prefixed by an apostrophe ('), openoffice.org sometimes decides that the cells must contain an equation instead, so it clears all the line breaks, lowercases the text, prefixes the cell data with an equals to -sign (=) and displays #NAME? as the contents. ** Affects: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Multi-line text handling in openoffice.org calc broken https://launchpad.net/bugs/83665 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
