I can confirm this bug on Ubuntu 9.04 desktop (kernel 2.6.28-15-generic) everything updated with a Palm LifeDrive. Complete message: "usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd gpilotd rqt 194 rq 1 len 2 ret -108"
