Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I was not doing anything special, but the CPU randomly started getting hotter and then everything locked up. TTY terminals are accessible but nothing in tty7 with GNOME can do anything. Pulseaudio was maxing out my CPU. Also, the process cannot be killed using "kill PID" ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/pcmC0D0p: dinero 8723 F...m pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: dinero 8723 F.... pulseaudio Card0.Amixer.info: Card hw:0 'SB'/'HDA ATI SB at 0xf0400000 irq 16' Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC888' Components : 'HDA:10ec0888,10250166,00100202 HDA:11c11040,10250166,00100200' Controls : 27 Simple ctrls : 15 Card1.Amixer.info: Card hw:1 'HDMI'/'HDA ATI HDMI at 0xcfeec000 irq 19' Mixer name : 'ATI R6xx HDMI' Components : 'HDA:1002aa01,00aa0100,00100000' Controls : 4 Simple ctrls : 1 Card1.Amixer.values: Simple mixer control 'IEC958',0 Capabilities: pswitch pswitch-joined Playback channels: Mono Mono: Playback [off] Date: Sat Sep 12 15:56:23 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/pulseaudio NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Package: pulseaudio 1:0.9.16-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-10.32-generic SourcePackage: pulseaudio Uname: Linux 2.6.31-10-generic x86_64 ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- CPU maxing out https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428427 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
