Public bug reported:
After updating Ubuntu Karmic today and rebooting the system completly
freezes. I cannot even start it in single mode. I could remount the
partition by using a live cd. I noticed segfault messages in the message
logs. It says hal: and then libc segfault. Sorry I cannot be a bit more
specific. I will try to write the lines down post it later.
