first time using software store: "crash" notice occurred while installing 'calculator'. The 'software store' window remained open and responsive after the 'crash', and the list of installed software now includes two instances of 'calculator' -- each having the 'green check' overlaid. Next (with the window still open after the above crash), I tried installing 'update manager', which crashed without installing anything, but the main window was still open and responsive. Both of these failed installs were from unchecked items in the 'installed software' category. Once more, with the now twice 'crashed' "Software Store" still running I got a successful install of '7-zip' from the free software category.
