....Nope, that didn't work. So far, the only thing that gets sound working is turning acpi off in the grub menu at boot time. Anybody having some ideas about this, please comment! I'm still trying to figure out how to get this fixed. By the way, my computer runs just fine with acpi off. No overheating issues. Like I said before, either the BIOSes are screwed up ons some computers, or the PCI driver that initializes Linux systems is buggy.
