** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: mozplugger

The bug occurs in Xubuntu Edgy 6.10, with Firefox 2.0.0.1, Mozplugger
  1.7.3, evince-gtk 0.5.2

- Step 1: Installing Mozplugger
+ Step 1: Install Mozplugger
Step 2: Open a pdf file in Firefox (search 'test filetype:pdf' in google,
open any of the pdf files)
Step 3: an error message saying "incorrect MIME type" is shown.

Here Evince was used by Mozplugger as default pdf viewer.
Same problem happens while viewing postscript .ps files.

If xpdf is set as default viewer for pdf files in '/etc/mozpluggerrc',
  mozplugger and xpdf work correctly.

The root of the problem seems to be "evince-gtk" package. Xubuntu has
evince-gtk package instead of the regular "evince" package for GNOME, as
  it uses Xfce.

After installing the "evince" package, (which removes evince-gtk) the problem
was solved.
So mozplugger should correctly use evince-gtk, or have evince as a dependency.
