The shell says in that moment: Reloading /etc/samba/smb.conf smbd only a) sambd shout keep connections as long as the server does not receive a different IP b) the string "Reloading /etc/samba/smb.conf smbd only" should be written to a log and not direct into the shell Work around: kill dhcp client or extend lease time on DHCP server. This problem was also mentioned in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7992848#post7992848 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- smbd loses connection on DHCP lease https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435061 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
