I observed this on robbiew's computer. The effect was to show the default Ubuntu wall paper very early. As Robbie has customized his wallpaper, this was completely incongruous. I observer a problem on my computer where xsplash did not start fast enough after gdm login, and again, the default wall paper displayed. As I have also customized my wall paper, it looked quite odd.
It seems that even after fixing robbiew's bug, there may be times when users see this default wall paper. It's as if you can see xsplash's under pants. May I suggest as part of fixing this bug, or as a separate bug that we change whatever image is showing at those times to one that matches the xsplash art work? So in the case where you can see xsplash's underpants, it matches xsplash and does not look odd. -- xsplash timing out too early https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435522 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
