I've noted issues with RT61PCI driver that were only resolved till I
upgraded to kernel version 2.6.31. See my notes under:

Note that you will need the latest version of the Ralink firmware and
install it in /lib/firmware (ignore any other posts you've seen
regarding the rt61 card and editing some mystical .dat file).

Also note that the order in which you initialize/confgure the RT61PCI
cards has changed.
