This is still a problem for me. I have tried booting with kernel 2.6.27-14-generic and the DVB problem goes away and I can record again BUT this impacts playback. Audio is fine but any file played back has choppy video as if the system plays back only one frame in two or three.
This renders the machine almost useless. I can either record or I can play back but not both unless I reboot between recording and playing back..... Does anyone know how to get back to the Ubuntu 8.10 scenario which worked OK?
