Public bug reported:
unable to determine whether evolution or notify-osd is culprit.
although sound file ok chosen [any] sound on new mail arrival only
causes internal speaker to 'beep'; the [checked & tested] sound file is
not triggered. Using Dell Dimension E520 with bog-standard speakers
throgh audio out socket. No other sound problems whatsoever. Thankyou
in advance for any work this may cause... I've run out of ideas.
