Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

When I intalled Kubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04 I selected the catalan
keymap for my keyboa, I test it on the textbox made to try the keybuard
layout on the installer and it worked. I expected to have my installed
system configured form start to use this keymap.

Instead of this the instaled system was configured to use the US
keyboard (i think) and i canntop write any accents in any application.

To reproduce the bug you have to do a fresh install of Kubuntu from 8.04
to 9.04 and select a Spanish keyboard layout or a Spanish layout with
the Catalan variant when the installer asks for your keyboard layout
When computer reboots to the installed system the installed system don't
use the keymap.

Try to write in Kate because the keymap selected works fine in
Openoffice.
