(Please do NOT remove the'Incomplete' status from bugs unless you know there is enough information to handle the bug)
Could you try to boot : - without the "quiet" and "splash" kernel options, - without the "quiet" and "splash" kernel options and with "ro" and "single" instead and tell what happens ? To do this, when you are in GRUB, select the line corresponding to Ubuntu, type 'e' to edit it, move to the kernel line, press 'e' again. Use backspace to remove "quiet" and "splash", and optionally add "ro" and "single". Press Enter and then 'b' to boot the modified GRUB entry. Note that changes you make to GRUB entries this way are not kept, you'll have to redo them when you reboot. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Incomplete -- Ubuntu 9.10 not start after installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/436822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
